Marc filmed my reading at Book People and reduced it to a 5 minute taster recap. Enjoy! And yes, that’s all hi-def and totally not YouTube.

Great clip!
And it will serve as a good introduction to the reality of asshole bleaching.
What I meant to say is that in the clip Amanda reads from the part of her book that mentions asshole bleaching.
I read that as “taser recap…”.
Yikes.
Thank you for making the connection between anal bleaching and the Republican party leadership.
D’oh, some goofball is totally blocking me in the beginning pan shot. But I was there, I swear!
Next best thing to being there. Thanks!
Awesome. That asshole bleaching reading cracked. me. up.
…oh, NOW I get the anal bleaching references…Okay, I give up, I can’t wait til you show up in DC any longer. Now I gotta go read the book in its entirety.
Is it a camera angle thing, or is the mike really pointed at your forehead?
I loved it. The shot near the end with the “Religion/Philosophy” sign in the background would make a great still.
Thank you for making the connection between anal bleaching and the Republican party leadership.
Well, the connection is fairly obvious, considering the number of white assholes in the Republican party . . .
I love your pronunciation of ‘Iraq’.
Funny when you actually see a person move and hear their voice after “knowing” them in this blog setting.
Of course it is not as I thought. Of course I didn’t really have anything particular in mind. The East Texas in you is apparent, which I think is a good thing. Keeps people off-balance.
Anyway, sorry I missed it but was away on business, darn it.
But I do have your book and it’s next on the list.
Amanda’s from West Texas — completely different vibe. Like, Colorado/Arkansas different.
Engaging stuff, Amanda. How in Hell can you do that without a podium solid enough to hide behind? I’d be all self-conscious about how my legs and feet were positioned, etc. I’d need a pretty stiff drink.
Intro music was fab, too. I almost expected instruction on how I should show courtesy to my fellow employees, honor diversity in the workplace and, above all, be a snitch if I know somebody else is stealing Sharpies.
My bad, I knew it was from somewhere just not around here.
I’m small-town south texas, so it’s all the same to me.
Excellent. Very funny and engaging. And you look good too.
what that song played in the intro, sounds ridiculously familiar, yet just out of reach.
That should be, What *is* that song, lol.
