State Rep. Sally Kern — how about this fine upstanding citizen of your state? Is he more or less of a threat to society than your average aggressive radical homosexual or everyday homosexual?
Michael Burgess, sheriff in Custer County, OK is a pious family man, he even offers a Sheriff’s prayer on his website. Unfortunately he needs a few prayers right now, as he is charged with abusing his authority by offering leniency to inmates in exchange for getting blown and laid.
Michael Burgess, sheriff in Custer County, Okla., since 1994, surrendered to state law enforcement agents Wednesday and appeared in district court to face 35 felony charges, including multiple counts of rape, forcible oral sodomy, bribery by a public official and perjury.More details below the fold, including a snippet of Jesus’ General’s letter to Sally about the goings-on in her little slice of pious heaven.
As I said, Burgess is married, the grandfather of eight, and his pious upstanding behavior is such a model to the young-uns. The prosecution has 33 witnesses lined up to describe the sex slavery going on in the Custer County clink. The four women named in the court documents who were either inmates or members of the county’s drug program all were promised some type of leniency or preferential treatment in return for their sexual favors.
The alleged sexual liaisons took place between February 2006 and April 2007, according to court documents. One of the women even traveled with the sheriff to Oklahoma City in April 2006 to take part in a “legislative” initiative relating to drug court programs across the state.
“During the night of their stay at the Biltmore Hotel, Sheriff [Burgess] directed and required that [the woman] stay with him at the hotel rather than go with other participants and their counselor for dinner,” according to the probable cause affidavit for the sheriff’s arrest. “Sheriff [Burgess] took [the woman] to his room at the Biltmore Hotel where he engaged in multiple acts of sexual intercourse with [the woman] during the night.”
…In the suit, 12 former inmates alleged that the sheriff’s employees had them engage in wet T-shirt contests and offered cigarettes to women who exposed their breasts.
So, Sally — is the sheriff’s behavior included in the bible-based Heterosexual Agenda that homos are supposed to sign up for? I don’t have that manual, surely you do. Jesus’ General actually wrote to Sally Kern about Burgess:
Burgess was a conscientious sheriff. He felt his job didn’t end with a perp’s conviction. He continued to work with a number of female drug offenders to ensure they didn’t go back to jail. Love served as his rehabilitation method. It was a heterosexual love that replaced their hash pipe with his throbbing pipe of sheriffly entitlement. He’d give them a choice. They could either go to jail or tend to the insatiable needs of his Deputy Dingy.…All that ended when a state prosecutor, certainly a wicked man who despises heterosexuality, charged him with “14 counts of second-degree rape, seven counts of forcible oral sodomy, five counts of bribery by a public official and a few counts of perjury.” Now he faces up to 467 years in prison for doing nothing more than exerting his god-given patriarchal rights and engaging in a few heterosexual acts.
I hope you can do something about it.

Holy Jo Ann Little!
This kind of thing is positively sick-making. But then in the current conservative political climate of for-profit prisons, the “prison-industrial complex” and the Patriot Act, what else could we possibly expect?
Why is it that mainstream Americans never see through the smokescreen of piousness that these criminal sociopaths throw up in order to disguise their true selves? Will we ever know just how much of this kind of evil is in our midst? Is finding out as easy as identifying all the Christian Fundamentalists?
Custer is the County of my birth. Was once a hotbed (no pun intended) of socialism. What a sahame.
WTF? Seriously. I just cannot understand these people who think they can do shit like this & get away w/it. Unbelievable. You’d think I’ve seen enough of this by now to be not be surprised by it, but I am.
I’m not gay, but I’d still like to forcibly sodomize this man.
Forgive me.
Quit yer complainin! What’s all the hubbub about a man expressing his natural urges and getting all sexy with some enticing females?
At least he wasn’t doing the nasty with male inmates!
Fortunately, the Oklahoma Legislature on Thursday overrode Gov. Brad Henry’s (D) veto of a , so now any inmate who become pregnant as a result of the abuse can continue not having agency, vis-a-vis making medical decisions this time.
Way to go Oklahoma!
Ugh, sorry. Here’s the link.
Mark,
Go read Jim Thompson’s The Killer Inside Me.
This article reads like a summary of Joe Eszterhas’s treatment of Thompson’s book.
You know, this is straight out of a BDSM comic book porn novel! This is outragous!
This is like a cheap BDSM comic book! Tall tree, and the short end of a long rope
Just horrible.
Here in Northern California, a police chief has been in jail since Feb. 8 for 12 counts of spousal rape with the use of intoxicants. He’s been accused of rape by three separate women — his current wife, former wife, and ex-finance who left him after he raped her. The ex has been on the stand the last two days.
When investigators searched his house they found pill bottles that had old case numbers on them; he apparently stole them from the evidence shed.
He also faces weapons charges for unlawful sales of assault rifles and possession of a silencer.
Rape in LE is never that rare. They have always used their power to rape women, it’s just that it’s not the sort of crime people give a shit about, especially if the woman’s drunk or lower class or something.
I lived in Custer County OK. for 18 years because of job in the gas business. this does not surprise me at all. I lived in Weatherford and it was one of the most backward communities I had ever seen.
