There’s nothing like a fresh flaming pile of anti-gay horsesh*t from Town Hall columnist Kevin McCullough, who commented on Barack Obama’s recent open letter to the LGBT community at his blog, Musclehead Revolution. Kevin practically foams at the mouth.

For every Obama supporter who has written me criticizing me for statements I’ve made in so many previous outlets they would be impossible to tally - OBAMA likey the GAY MARRIAGE. He has issued a written statement saying to the homosexual elite radicals that he will REPEAL the National Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). And that on the issue of redefining the institution by which ALL of society has been built upon he would allow state by state any jolly perverted idea or arrangement that can be signed into law to take place.

…And of course merely saying that engaging in homosexual behavior is in fact unhealthy, detrimental and even deadly - would qualify as outright “homophobic” views in Obama’s world. SO we can’t teach Biblical sexuality… i.e. HEALTHY… only the gospel of condoms!

Obama supporters have tried to silence me claiming that he was never the radical activist for the homosexual lobby that I always knew him to be, but now he has proven me right - and his blinded sheep following him like lemmings over the edge of the cliff are now faced with a choice. A radical liberal activist (supporting homosexual behavior) who supports the most radical redefinition of the basic family structure in the history of the world… or John McCain.

Media Matters has more on the above.

Was he through? No, he’s just getting started. The above was published on February 28. McCullough launched another attack today, March 2, on Clown Hall, entitled “Obama: America’s first Gay President?.” Read this unhinged nonsense after the jump.

Kevin McCullough has decided he wants to be the conservative homo-hate emissary for the GOP right out of the box so John McCain wouldn’t have to.

In this way he may be more “gay” than Clinton was “black” - and by a wide margin at that.

For all the shell game that Obama was able to juggle in the run for President to date on the issue of his real, underlying views on the radical homosexual agenda - this week he removed all doubts.

In an alarmingly pointed written statement Obama signed his named to the personal promise of greater advance against the institution of marriage of any candidate to ever run for the highest office. Pointedly so he gave his full pledge to overturn, or repeal, the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

…This act was signed by the last liberal President in office William Jefferson Clinton. In pledging to do so Barack Obama has now staked out turf that threatens the viability of the next generation of children that could subject them to an operative norm that would contribute to the de-constructing of families as to however one could imagine in one state - and then forcing recognition of that sexual union by its neighboring state regardless of what the citizens of that state say.

Plenty of LGBT folks out there don’t feel Obama’s good enough on our issues, of course when it boils down to it, this makes it clear who the real enemy is, because Barack Obama is worlds apart from McCain and McCullough’s world view on the matter. Obama has now been labeled a homosexualist activist, supporting our “radical agenda” in the eyes of McCullough, who wants to make us the boogeyman yet again in 2008.

Yet as someone who has followed his career since long before he was a national stage player, I have warned that his aggressive support for the radical homosexual activist agenda in America is a part of the overall picture of who he is.

…Obama displays a reckless commitment to play games with the future sexual formation of families and puts himself so firmly planted in the camp of anti-biblical views of truth, sex, and family that we have never seen its comparison in all years previous.

Make no mistake, committed Obama supporters share his uber-libertine leanings to homosexual behavior, and want to encourage more relaxation of traditional moral sexual barriers in society. And with academics like Dr. Judith Levine arguing in her book, and endorsed by Clinton Surgeon General Joyclin Elders, arguing that sex between adults and children is not harmful to the child - one can easily imagine what such relaxation of rules would lead to.

The in-family squabbles over who is more LGBT-affirming — Clinton or Obama — makes little difference when you have attacks to contend with like this, which would be hurled at Hillary as well in some form or fashion.

The fact of the matter is McCullough has been railing about same-sex unions, homosexuality as an equivalent to bestiality, pulling out the “parts don’t fit” nonsense, and other obsessive, high-strung bleatings for some time now, getting warmed up for the general election. Let’s revisit some of the spittle-laden homophobic statements drooled by Mr. McCullough. Some classics…

On Mary Cheney and Heather Poe having a child:

If they were to choose to engage in sex acts a thousand times over, their biological machinery would never produce what is needed - but for a different reason. There is no dysfunction in this case. Instead, the reason the sexual engagement does not work is because the necessary parts are not even present. It is the equivalent of screwing a nut onto a bolt, by using a hammer. They just don’t fit.
More crude drivel:
Homosexual behavior and Christianity do not mix. From the standpoint of theory, theology, doctrine, and practice the two are totally and completely incompatible; as are adultery, pornography, bestiality, pedophilia, pre-marital sex, incest, cross dressing, multiple partner orgies and the list goes on.
From his piece Why homosexuals despise marriage:
For instance, a woman who engages in lesbianism will never know the joy of lovemaking that creates within her the product of that union — an actual human life. She will never know the security of a true man protecting her from the dragons of the world and providing for her an environment where she can nurture and give love to that little life once it arrives, or the stamp of approval that God puts on such an experience. And because she and her partner know this, they must defy reason, biology and sexual function to create children and experiences that serve as faulty substitutes for that God-ordained picture.

Likewise, a man who seeks his perverse kicks by depositing the seed of life in, shall we say, non-life-giving cavities, may know orgasm, but never complete union, as he uses anatomy in ways for which the Creator did not create it.

Given that it’s McCullough’s party has been the been the haven of political hypocrisy on issues regarding sexuality (see the lengthy number of posts in my Republican Sexual Hypocrites file), his rant is mind-blowing). The Republican party is filled with amoral “pillars of the community” who trawl for illicit, extramarital homo- and heterosex in the shadows while putting on pious faces in order to rail against law-abiding LGBT taxpaying citizens who live openly and honestly.

What McCullough and his ilk long for is a return to the padlocked closet of shame, self-loathing, and pathological sexual dishonesty championed by social conservatives and/or elected GOP embarrassments such as Larry Craig, David Vitter, Mark Foley, Ted Haggard, Bob Allen, Houston District Attorney Chuck Rosenthal, Cabarrus County (NC) commissioner and pastor Coy C. Privette, Glenn Murphy, Jr. (former chairman of the Young Republican National Federation), the list goes on and on.

If there is anything that threatens marriage, society and public health, it’s the behavior of the above representatives of the party of family values, but Kevin McCullough chooses to focus on why the government should choose to make laws to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens who wish to have their relationships and families recognized in the eyes of the law as part of the American quilt.

The party of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have not made incessant attempts to get into the bedrooms and wombs of the American public like the party of the Republican Sexual Hypocrites. The GOP has been in control of the political agenda for far too long, and the public has simply had enough of the boogeyman campaigning on this front. One only needs to look at the Democratic turnout versus Republican turnout at the polls during this primary season. In many cases the combined votes for all of the GOP candidates was less than the votes than either Obama or Clinton. That hardly sounds like a mandate for more of the same, tired, fearmongering, Kevin. Hang it up.

    waitwaitwait…

McCullough is the guy in the picture up there?

    MANY things become clear. Instantly.

Amusingly pathetic little slug. Sprinkle some salt on him and see what happens.

  2. Is there some wingnut factory where they turn out smug, weaselly, hate-spewing pricks in blister packs? There seem so many of them, it’s getting ridiculous…

  3. I am so sick of the so-called “radical” homosexual agenda. As a woman, a Jew, a heterosexual and an American, I would like to know what the hell is so radical about a demand for every person having equal rights and equal protection under the law?

  4. kaycray

SO we can’t teach Biblical sexuality… i.e. HEALTHY… only the gospel of condoms!

Yes, biblical sexuality was so healthy. Multiple wives, concubines, getting it on with your wife’s sister if your wife can’t get pregnant.

We should require cultural anthropology to be taken in high schools so wingnuts will learn that family units are defined in any number of ways by different societies.

Calling gay marriage “the most radical redefinition of the basic family structure in the history of the world” is plain ignorant. Family structures throughout the world and throughout history are incredibly varied & will continue to vary. Mom, dad and the kids is a fairly recent definition of “family” in our own culture, given that households used to contain grandparents, borders, laborers, etc.

  5. Cross-dressing is incompatible with Christianity?

Someone better tell the Catholics about that during Lent and Easter.

  6. “Someone better tell the Catholics about that during Lent and Easter.”

…everybody knows that in America v2.0, Catholics are not real christians…

  7. calvinhobbes

How likely is it that Obama would even be able to repeal DOMA, i.e. perhaps McCullough may have nothing to worry about? If it were based on a vote, keep in mind that even Paul Wellstone (!!) voted for it on the first try.

  8. Jac

Dear Kevin: knock off the bashing and come out of the closet already. You know you want it.

    Love, everybody.

The wingnuts are wetting their pants in anticipation of what they’ll be spewing, next year, when Obama becomes president.

“She will never know the security of a true man protecting her from the dragons of the world ”

He couldn’t think of a real threat that husbands can protect their wives from these days (what with sabertooth tigers and cave bears not being a danger any more), so he had to resort to a mythical creature.

SERIOUSLY? This must be satire. Can anyone actually say something like this with a straight face? Has anyone checked to see if this guy was dropped on his head as a baby or something?

Yes, biblical sexuality was so healthy. Multiple wives, concubines, getting it on with your wife’s sister if your wife can’t get pregnant.

Don’t forget two daughters raping their father….

  12. I rarely go so far as to accuse homophobes of this, but Kevin’s dripping disgust with women’s bodies and his utter fascination with homosexuality makes me think he’s afraid of legalized gay marriage because it’s either a temptation or he’s bitter that life passed him by and there are so many happy gays while he wasted away in the closet.

Once in awhile you run across a homophobe who thinks that legal gay marriage will actually be the end of straight marriages, because he can’t for the life of him imagine why any man would have sex with a woman unless he had to. McCullough is in this category, it seems to me. It doesn’t occur to these guys that some men really are straight, actually enjoy sex with a woman. For a real delightful romp in that category, I recommend the literature from “ex-gay” types, who conflate homosexuality with all sexuality, and think that being straight means being sexually repressed. They project their own sexuality onto everyone. It’s weird.

  13. I suppose part of the reason they think this is that if they accepted that some people are actually straight, that they have sex with members of the opposite sex because they want to, it would seem terribly unfair. Like, why do they get to have a sexuality they enjoy, while I have to sit around wanting something forbidden? And they’re right—it’s unfair. The cure is not to wish that the whole world is miserable and repressed, but to come out of the closet, and quit being miserable and repressed yourself, duh.

  14. I love the smell of Republican fear in the morning…

  15. What IS with this crap that women need / crave men’s protection???

    Frack that noise.

  16. I still love that saying from that old flyer “Queers Read This”

“Every time we fuck, we win!”

  17. She will never know the security of a true man protecting her from the dragons of the world[.]

When I told my wife I was going to protect her from the dragons of the world, she told me to lay off the fucking gin.

Seriously, these people are fucking loony loony loony!!

  18. “She will never know the security of a true man protecting her from the dragons of the world ”

He couldn’t think of a real threat that husbands can protect their wives from these days (what with sabertooth tigers and cave bears not being a danger any more), so he had to resort to a mythical creature.

No, I’m pretty sure true men still exist.

Oh, right, I get you now…

  19. She will never know the security of a true man protecting her from the dragons of the world and providing for her an environment where she can nurture and give love to that little life once it arrives, or the stamp of approval that God puts on such an experience.

Dear lord. Being queer has never sounded so attractive…

  20. Zython

Ah, Kevin McCullough, the same guy who ranted about a video game he never even played.

    What a loser.

  21. Even here…

true man protecting her from the dragons of the world

    the fairy-land fear card.

  22. Tara, Antisocial SocialWorker

Um, should somebody explain to this guy that straight people have sex in a lot of ways that can’t make babies? No, really, it happens all the time.

  23. I suppose it makes sense that a guy would think people saying gay is okay are censoring his religion since he apparently also thinks that telling him he’s wrong about Obama is silencing him. Always enjoy the ones who think “free speech” means they talk and everybody else shuts up.

  24. Joanna

Sheesh, I don’t think about gay sex this much when I’m having it. Must be all that dragon-fear distracting me…

  25. Pencils

Wait, my husband’s supposed to be protecting me from dragons? I do get him to kill bugs (I hate bugs)–is that close enough

This guy protests just a bit too much, don’t you think? And he looks like a bottom to me–one who thinks he really should be a top because he’s ashamed of what he likes.

In other words, a woman who engages in lesbianism will never know the joy of cock.

I think this says all you need to know about McCullough.

  27. Pencils: Wait, my husband’s supposed to be protecting me from dragons? I do get him to kill bugs (I hate bugs)–is that close enough

    If they’re dragonflies. ;-)

  28. Sayna

Thank you, ol cranky! You’ve said it all.

  29. In other words, a woman who engages in lesbianism will never know the joy of cock.

Apparently he has never heard of The Adult SuperStore…
