I saw this at shakesville, nearly pissed myself laughing, and then went in a corner and cried. I’m on the fence as to whether this is actually how it works, but at the least corporations/moneyed folks have forty percent* control over the outcome. So many people I know at university are not voting for this reason, and hec I am in DC. Perhaps being so close to the corruption shades our thinking a little.
*Statistics cited in this comment obtained with nothing but the pure science of guesswork.
It’s funny because it’s true.
But I couldn’t tell if 48% won it for John McCain, or whether Barack Obama did better than that.
I was about to watch the video, but then came accross this superb piece of art. Now I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to watch the first video since it’s 2 AM and I’m laughing too loud for the good rest of my neighbors.
I didn’t know The Onion had created a video cast site.. that’s too awesome.
Dammit. Youtube wasn’t supposed to release this for another year.
