The classic forms of the latter have things like escaping the control of the father/violating a sense of communal standards/a new stasis in which things have been &quot;set right,&quot; etc....

we are, after all, talking about a narrative form.  Is there something that separates &quot;coming of age&quot; from &quot;bildungsroman&quot;?</description>
