BBBBOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTZZZZZZ!!
The sound that is made by your arse, expelling foul and troublesome gas!
KL,
Boortz never graduated from Texas A&M, he told everyone he had until he was outed in Sept of '05, and for lying about his status in the Draft during the Vietnam War!
Google: Boortz- John Sugg, Texas A&M, Selective Service

As a Katrina survivor I think the statement is over the top. The fact that we are commenting on it means he has achieved what he had intending - not to be ignored.

If he were a real libertarian he’d write a check out to the state to pay it back for supporting his sorry ass when he couldn’t afford private schooling.

If he were a real libertarian, he wouldn't have taken government money in the first place.

I'm in Houston, the city that poured its heart out for Katrina victims and has become the new home for many thousands of them. A few people said crap like this back then and we mostly told them STFU and kept on doing what what we could to help.

Plus only a month later we learned just how hard an evacuation could be when Rita was on the way. Many rich folks from the manditory evacuation zones had to turn back because the roads were too crowded and in some cases deadly.

More like the Rethug Party exists to serve global business interests and prosecute an aggressive interventionist foreign policy that further secures said interests (what's a few dead babies), while demagogue talk-radio and Christian-right tools funnel them the votes of the angry and the stupid ... you know, those disenfranchised white Christians. Why, they can't even speak the truth anymore thanks to the omnipresent PC police, thank God Neil Boortz has the courage to say "nigger" for them! (or come close)

Same difference, I guess. As Hunter S. Thompson was fond of saying, How much longer, O Lord, how much longer?

That’s ironic because Boortz can’t stand the religious right. (He’s libertarian, not conservative.)

Even more tragic is that he graduated from Texas A&M University with public money covering most of his tuition. If he were a real libertarian he'd write a check out to the state to pay it back for supporting his sorry ass when he couldn't afford private schooling.

"The guy needs a “controversy” once per ten (10) months to keep his dying show on the road."

I'll buy that he's primarily looking for press, but I really do think his statements expose the actual attitudes of a whole lot of people in this country.

And plenty of those people are just looking for an excuse to say out loud what they were already thinking.

Come to think of it, the Rethug party seems to exist in large part to help satisfy this "need"...

No limit to how pissed off this could make me, if I didn't know that it would bring Neil Boortz satisfaction.

I'd like him to meet Chris Rose in a dark alley. (And everyone should read Rose's essays about Katrin, One Dead in Attic." Or maybe Boortz should be forced to live in one of those gutted houses in St. Bernard's Parish.

I just watched Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations last night as he toured New Orleans and it was depressing how so many houses sit empty or were turned into empty fields. Boortz is a fucker.

I expect he only watched the Faux news version of Katrina. Not that that's an excuse-- it's a way to be willfully ignorant.

I got decent coverage of the situation from a local station, and no one watching that could have avoided being proud of the young adults helping the elderly, sick, and children; the brave men facing the threat of authoritarian guns to try to get food and assistance for those dependent on them; the scavenger teams braving the waters again to reach places where water and other necessities might be found; the impromptu organizers who kept things amazingly orderly among large groups abandoned by "emergency services".
