I challenge you to look at Iggy Pop’s moves

and NOT say that this guy used Iggy as his inspiration.

(FWIW, I love Iggy and the Stooges.)

Scary! I’ll go with Iggy Pop, tho. Mad TV takes their skits about 15 seconds too long on a regular basis. I am not, however the authority on this. Have you checked it with the Insufferable Music Snob? Speaking of which, what has happened to the IMS? It’s Friday and I always enjoyed it.

If the IMS is waiting for questions….

Does my being a Leonard Cohen fanboy (especially this Allison Crowe cover mean

    A) It’s time to shop for a nursing home
    B) I need to up my insulin dosage
    C) Something else

  3. I would say that, except the average Mad TV player has a matrix of cultural references which probably only extends to other lame sketch shows.

  4. Haven’t we all been influenced by Iggy? ‘Tis my fervent hope
at least. Thanks for the video, here comes the weekend.

Raw power is sure to come runnin’ to youuu!

Especially if you’ve just had your rush.

I’ve seen footage of the Stooges, but never this particular song. I thought that when singing this one live, he’d bark and growl and shit, maybe walk on all fours. I’m sorely disappointed, Iggy.
