Oh man, I LOVE “Knocked Up.” I can’t wait for it to come out on DVD to see all the deleted scenes like this.

Though he brings up a good point… there was a disappointing amount of male nudity in “Brokeback Mountain.” I guess maybe they were going for “tasteful” or “subtle” or whatever, but if so, why did I need to see both Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway topless?

Well, that didn’t work. The quote was supposed to be accompanied by the observation that, yeah, from what I can tell, a kid only makes a relationship more of what it already is. If the relationship is strong, a kid’ll make it stronger; if it’s falling apart, a kid’ll only make it fall apart faster.

There’s a word for couples that have a baby to save their marriage. They’re called “divorced.”

I read the K-lo review - I must say that the idea that a child can bring a dysfunctional couple, with few means of supporting the child - this is more dangerous than anything else I can imagine this movie mentions. In fact, the demands of a child can be challenging to the most mature couples.

I’m just trying to get over how terrible Kathryn Jean Lopez’s writing is. My college newspaper had less choppy sentences. But I love how in Lopez Land, the moral of the subplot was that Allison’s sister was 100% responsible for ruining her marriage and not making her husband happy enough. Did y’all get that? (Extra bonus: She proves she’s “excessively tolerant” by linking to her glowing review of a steaming pile of misogyny, Deuce Bigalow.)

That deleted scene is hilarious and I very much agree with that kid.

They show (thrice) the baby crowning. With childbirth you don’t need an endoscope. I would guess Ms. Lopez isn’t a woman who has actually seen her vagina with a mirror, which is known as an hysteroscope in her world.

And you don’t need to insert the Brokeback Mountain scene to know that this movie is not post-abortion theater, but post-abortion wars theater, and the good guys won, abortion is accepted as an option.

But Kathryn Lopez holds her nose and tries to spin it that she’s OK with it. Good for you Ms. Lopez, you stuck the head of pro-choice in your mouth, now it’s time to suck it.

While I haven’t seen the movie, I highly doubt there’s any endoscopic camerawork.
